Happy Birthday, Neil..... Thanks so much for connecting the last few years.and all the cards.
You are gone but not forgotten and live in our hearts every day.
nancy little - February 12th, 2014

Neil,
Such a fine man.  He was funny and cute as a  boy in high school.  I don't remember him as anything other than kind, curious and able to talk to anyone (regardless of their level of "coolness").   He always had a smile on his face and I had hoped to see that again when I travel down to Silver City.   I am sure he had many friends as he walked life's path. Memories of Neil will never fade.

Bill Barry - July 14th, 2015
Peter was a childhood Friend,  I always hoped that we could get together and talk about old times. I have his foreign coin collection and over the years it has grown alot larger. I think I won the collection playing cards years ago behind his house. I can't remember the street anymore, I, too was born in 1947. The sad thing now is that the date of 2005 found me visiting Glen Ellyn, IL on a regular basis and had he been there and had a I looked for him, I could have seen him one more time. So long Peter, I'll see you later in a different world, and then maybe we can finally catch up. RIP my friend. May God be with you..

Birth Date: 1947-12-07
Deceased Date: 2022-09-07
Obituary:
Walter Clark Barrett, 74, entered into the presence of the Lord on September 7, 2022. Walt was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, as well as a pastor and missionary used by the Lord to deeply impact many.
Walt was born to Don and Billie Barrett on December 13, 1947. While a sophomore in college in 1967, Walt accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. The implications of this shaped every facet of who he was and what he did. Sensing a call into full-time ministry, Walt received a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1973 and later a Doctorate of Ministry at Westminster Theological Seminary. His 45 years of ministry combined teaching the Bible, shepherding and serving local churches, and mentoring pastors and missionaries. Walt served for over 28 years as a missionary with Greater Europe Mission in Belgium and Germany. He also served as a pastor for 17 years: McCoy Memorial Baptist Church (Elkhart, Indiana), Evangelische Gemeente Landen (Belgium), Evangelishe Gemeente Leuven (Belgium), Black Forest Christian Fellowship (Germany), Riverside Community Church (St. Charles, Illinois), and Faith Evangelical Free Church (Grand Forks, North Dakota).

Gregg Behrens

Deceased Date: 2019-01-22
Obituary:
Born September 8th 1947 to Dorothy and Herbert Behrens Gregg was the brother of Joan, John, and Debbie, former husband of Barbara Wheeler and father of Kim and Derek. Gregg was a graduate of the University of Miami, a retired US Air Force lieutenant colonel and a lover of animals. He passed into Infinity on January 22nd 2019.
Ric delaHoussaye - July 4th, 2019
110 Sunset was where Gregg lived. It was also the party house for Craig Thomton, Rick Heighway, Jim Pehta and myself. It was the place that let us pass through adolescence lubricated by beer, breasts, The Beatles and Beach Boys. That Doc and Dottie Eagle liked having us around made it all the better. That it was across from Sunset Park Pool better yet. Not just the connection to such an enviable situation Gregg was a nice, kind, fun friend who liked playing touch football, go karts and adventuring through storm water drains, one of which led to the parking lot of A&W Root Beer drive in. He was a comrade in the crazy, risky stuff that nowadays would likely lead to juvie. For the last 20 years we talked weekly about health, the environment, food, politics, music and more recently how once he moved to Florida we'd eat fried chicken while watching college football and an impeachment. So much for a future that might have been. Rest in the mystery Gregg. Rest in peace my friend. I'll raise a drumstick to you when the orange man ends up in an orange jumpsuit.

Marie Teresa " Terry" Dillon - September 8th, 2010
When I look back on the beautiful picture of Terry in our yearbook, I am reminded of all the fun we had together. The first time we heard the Beattles on the car radio, we got out of the car and danced. We laughed and cried together, we were best friends. Terry was in our wedding, always adding humor and support. Our lives became more complicated and we drifted apart. Terry married and had a daughter, I have difficulty remembering all the details, perhaps other friends can add more eloquently to her memorial. Terry died of cancer at a very early age. I am so sorry I did not keep in better touch. It would have been so much fun to laugh and grow old together. Terry was a gracious person and a wonderful friend. I am so glad we all the fun of High School together.

When I joined the Hilltoppers as an AFS exchange student from Finland, Bruce was one of those class mates who made me  feel at home from the very beginning. It didn't take long that we became close friends. We shared  a lot of things together and went to a number of activities and places together including chess club and skating on Lake Ellyn. Both of us were great hockey fans. This was natural as Bruce's ancestors came from Finland.

Bruce, you contributed so much to my experience in Glen Ellyn during my stay in 1964-65. Thank you for your friendship and support!

Eric Mulloy

Birth Date: 1947-02-08
Deceased Date: 2017-05-14
Obituary:
Eric Everett Mulloy

Eric Mulloy, 70, died May 14, 2017 at his home in Bellevue, Washington.
Born in Chicago on February 8, 1947, he grew up in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Eric graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 1969, and the University of Michigan Law School in 1972.

He moved to Boston, where he married Ellyn Peska, of Glen Ellyn, IL, practiced law at Powers and Hall, Norris and Norris, and BBN Technologies. After a divorce, he worked for McDonnel Douglas in the Midwest and the West Coast, finally settling in Seattle with Boeing where he was Chief Counsel at their Commercial Airplanes Group. He married Galina Bezgrebelnaya of Moscow, Russia in 1999.

Eric is survived by his wife Galina, and two daughters, Shannon, Acton, MA, and Anastasia, Issaquah, WA. His son, Robert passed away in 2004.

Eric, our loving father, best friend and husband, was by far inspirational through his aptitude for history, culture and intellectual curiosity. Throughout his life, Eric travelled to many notable destinations and met a variety of remarkable people. He was a man with high standards, strong principles and great diligence. With his dedication and strong work ethic he paved the way for success in his careers and personal growth.

There was never a moment in which his intellectual prowess mixed with his witty sense of humor failed to make us laugh. Our father always had stories to recall and experiences to share and regardless of exaggeration, one couldn’t help but listen. If anything, Eric showed the best of himself through the love for his children, by putting forth what he thought was right through guided principles and insightful encouragement. We will continue to remember our father and best friend for the unique and humorous man that he was. Without a doubt, he touched our hearts and will continue to have a lasting impression to this day.

Donations in his memory can be sent to the Robert K. Mulloy Scholarship Fund at manchesteressexedfund.org/make-a-donation or sent to the Manchester Essex Education Fund, f/b/o Robert K Mulloy Scholarship, c/o Cape Ann Savings Bank, 109 Main Street, Gloucester, MA 01930.

Dave Palmquist - June 10th, 2010
Bill was a great friend and a big time follower of jazz.  When most of the folks were listening to rock and roll, a few of us were listening to the likes of Miles Davis, Dave Bruebeck, Oscar Peterson and John Coltrane.  I stilll remember Peterson's dad had one of the first Ford
hardtop convertablers, a pretty cool car.

His folks were also very kind to us jazz guys to let us blast out the music in their family room, day after day.

We all knew him as "Rob." I am pretty sure he was at the 20th Reunion and I kept in touch with him for a while after that. He did his BS in EE at Purdue. I roomed with him one semester, but moved out because of his pipe smoking! His home in Glen Ellyn was somewhere a couple blocks east of Main Street around Forest Glen.
