In 2010 - five years go - one of the highlights of that year in my life was our 45th class reunion, where I had a unique opportunity to enjoy the Homecoming Parade riding in Dan's old style car. I also noticed that he had a good sense of humour and an ability to create an easy going positive atmosphere around him. Silently in my mind I was looking forward to meet him again and repeat this unmemorable ride in our next class reunion. He is gone but sunny memories stay.

Dan and I were sweethearts our freshman year. We emailed and saw each other again around 2000 when he visited San Antonio. He was fun and really loved his kids. We spent a nice day together. I'm shocked to hear of his death at so young an age.
