110 Sunset was where Gregg lived. It was also the party house for Craig Thomton, Rick Heighway, Jim Pehta and myself. It was the place that let us pass through adolescence lubricated by beer, breasts, The Beatles and Beach Boys. That Doc and Dottie Eagle liked having us around made it all the better. That it was across from Sunset Park Pool better yet. Not just the connection to such an enviable situation Gregg was a nice, kind, fun friend who liked playing touch football, go karts and adventuring through storm water drains, one of which led to the parking lot of A&W Root Beer drive in. He was a comrade in the crazy, risky stuff that nowadays would likely lead to juvie. For the last 20 years we talked weekly about health, the environment, food, politics, music and more recently how once he moved to Florida we'd eat fried chicken while watching college football and an impeachment.
