Moved to Washington DC area after college and ended up living in Arlington, VA for 30+ years, where I raised three daughters from my first marriage. In 2002, I married Richard Svoboda, a retired FDNY firefighter, and gained a stepson, daughter-in-law and grandson. Two of my daughters are married and all in all, I have five grandchildren. I'm active in the Olde Kent Quilters Guild (president for four years!) and previously served on the boards of two community non-profits. Currently, we share our home with Daisy, a wonderful dog who allowed us to adopt her a few years ago.
